Sunday 21st September, at the glorious Wimpole Hall I took part in the very first British Heart Foundation organised event by taking the 'warm up' for all the runners and walkers before they took part in either a half marathon, 4.5 mile or 1 mile run or 9.5 mile sponsored walk. Firstly, I would like to say a huge thanks to Lorraine Harte for coming down to support me as well as Neal and Millie too. The day was absolutely glorious with warm and clear late summer sunshine and for their first event the attendance was fantastic with almost 200 people entering and taking part in raising money and awareness for such a worthy cause. Both BBC Radio Cambridgeshire and Look East were there to report on it - so watch out for it on the TV or the radio too. |
