WELCOME to your weekly FIT.NEWS on this stunning almost-spring day – superb. I hope you have managed to wrap up and get out there as glorious sunny days like this are precious this time of year as they are especially good for the all-important Vitamin D to really help boost the immune system, blast the winter blues and make you feel really happy.
It was a fabulous week last week during February Half Term break and great to see so many of you at all sessions that went ahead. Back into another week and a new term in the lead up to Easter and I hope you continue to stick to the goals you set for a happier, healthier and more active year – with my help!!!

*NEW for 2012* NORDIC WALKING, Thursday morning, 9.45am, for ALL LEVELS from Buckden Millennium Centre with Gordon. Join in this NEW and EASY Nordic Walk for a better, fresher and more active new you with the poles in both hands. A steady pace of 3-4.5 miles for ALL LEVELS, Not for complete beginners. There is no need to book, just turn up, poles available if you do not have your own.
*NEW* Couch to 5K! COMING SOON!!! Another round of 0 to 5K sessions will be starting with Marisa as soon as the nights get a bit lighter and we are potentially looking at after Easter. It will run on a Tuesday evening around 6pm for 45 mins to an hour. This session will get you started and into walking/jogging/running with a structured program over 6 weeks. Not only will it get you fitter but it will prevent injury, help you to burn off fat and inches and bring immense health benefits to your entire body. Featured Classes with Mel for 2012…
ULTIMATE CORE / ABS Fitness Pilates 2012 for MEN and WOMEN >>>
This weekly session runs at 6.30pm on a Thursday Night and it REALLY is a life and body changing session like no other. I use Fitness and Traditional Pilates to tone, strengthen and fat burn the core muscles and back as we move through dynamic exercises to upbeat fun music in a sequence (don’t worry no co-ordination is required) and I am now getting a healthy influx of FELLAS to this class bringing ALOT of fun as we workout on our mats. ULITIMATE CORE will reveal a flatter and more toned tummy too (but only if you come) as the moves work to lengthen, strengthen and tone the muscles allowing you to become stronger and firmer with building bulk. It also teaches you to focus the mind as you exercise the body, gradually improving your coordination, body awareness, flexibility and all over alignment. Even more Zumba fun and fabulous fitness to look forward to the active older and ready for action FitHavener. This is also perfect for Beginners to Zumba Fitness as well as those starting on their journey to a fit and healthy lifestyle. FITHAVEN RUNNING/JOGGING CLUB WITH MARISA >>>
Marisa will continue to run the FitHaven Running/Jogging session EVERY Tuesday evening from St Neots Rugby Club at 6.30pm – Any NEWCOMERS welcome (Non-Beginners), just turn up. This session is perfect for those who already jog/run and want the support, encouragement and motivation of running with a group with a specific program to progress your distance, pace and stamina. LEARN How to Nordic Walk with Mel in 2012…
FitHaven’s Learn How to Nordic Walking Course is specifically aimed at the complete beginner to the Nordic Walking technique, for those who walk/ramble/hike already and want to try something new, a refresher for those who have got out of the habit and want to get back into it again and for those who have never taken part in any form of outdoor exercise and want to give it a go.
