Welcome to
FitHaven's Fit.Newsletter. It's a new month, the sun is
shining and 'Spring in air' so it can't get much better than that! This
sunny burst has certainly raised spirits and energy levels already this week
so let it loose and make your way to Classes, PT and Nordic Walking.
March is the month where we will be motivating you to move it
more and as you already know we are totally motivated, inspired and
challenged by exercise and active living - it is the very essence our lives in
as many ways possible. We love how it makes us feel (and look), how it
helps us to move, how it energizes us, how it strengthens and supports our
weaker areas, how it helps us to de-stress and cope with everyday life and how
it brings so many happy faces to our day, every day. Our bodies were
designed to move and regardless of your age, physical ability, level,
condition, complaint, injury, time factor and whether it is with us or not we
want everyone to feel it like we do - so get out there is month!
Classes...
Firstly HUGE thanks to my RED New Body
Workout girls and Millie (pictured right) who came along
last Friday morning, wearing RED and supporting the
BHF Red Awareness Day. Over £40
was raised from the class and post-class treats! FitHaven's timetable
now has over 17 regular weekly sessions running so there is plenty
going on and you have only five weeks to get that super hot fit 'n' toned
body by Easter. NEW
Spring BootCamps
2010 kicked off last week with the
most amazing energy and effort levels all round and I will be following
four BootCamp girls on their fitness quests over the next six weeks.
Buggy Fitness gets a great turnout of mums
and babies on a Tuesday morning and it so nice to see them getting out with
the buggies, weights, kettlebells, bands and mats - all outside!
Fitness-Pilates is still as popular as ever
and all classes are enjoying the revamped functional conditioning moves which
are bringing immensely fast results! NewBody Workouts
are fabulously fun express full-body sessions and both venues enjoy groups of
all ages turning up for just that! What can I say about my
Fit-Pilates for Men - I LOVE it -
so this session stays on the timetable bringing an action-packed, fun,
testosterone-challenge to a Wednesday night.
The Stability Balls Workouts is BIG bouncy ball fun for a
flat tum!
Nordic
Walking... Last weekend in a word
was 'WET' but we stuck to our 'There is no such thing as bad weather
just bad clothing' policy and ventured out in our Gore-tex. The
weather didn't stop either the Saturday or Sunday morning Nordic Walkers
(pictured right) and we had fantastic turnouts for both early morning
sessions. NOTE: We will be taking a
short break this coming weekend as we are taking a group up to the Peak
District for the first Nordic Walking Weekender this year. Click

NEW Beginners Nordic Walking Course starts on Sunday 14th
March to Sunday 28th March so if you want to learn or improve your Nordic
Walking technique then you need to email to book your places
please and it is becoming quite full already!
Personal Training...
Spring HAS Sprung... Well for a few days anyway and wow does it
make you feel good. I have been outside almost all week so far and have had
some amazing sessions. if you have not been outside yet and cooped up in an
office then even if you can only spare 10 minutes at lunchtime then do because
you will feel so much better for it. Now might be the time to spring
clean your life and rethink the food and alcohol intake - if your goals
are to lose some weight then exercise is fantastic but you really must
think about food and alcohol too - the first place to start is by keeping a
food diary and analysing it yourself at the end of the week - do it for YOU,
don't lie and do it throughout the day not at the end of the week when it can
be hard to remember. This can really help you understand where you are, you
may learn something new and be surprised at just how much you are eating or
drinking! Nordic Walking Sessions
are so much more enjoyable with some sunshine but no matter what the weather
you will always feel better after an invigorating outdoor session so come
along and join the ever-growing numbers of us heading out four times a week
with poles - you won't regret it I promise! See you in the studio...
Make it move more, make
it feel better, make it look amazing and be happy from the
inside-out and back to front this week!

Nordic
Walking uses over 90% of the bodies muscles all without any extra effort

A fabulous full hour crammed full of everything
YOU need for a fitter, healthier and more toned body FAST. These
sessions have EXPLODED onto the weekly timetable and bring you a new
turbulent training session for the time-strapped person who wants to shape up
fast for the spring. We will be exercising the entire body in just 60
minutes to give resistance and interval training bursts that makes your body
burn use lots of energy (calories and fat) during the recovery period, as well
as replenish energy levels and speed up your metabolism well after the
sessions too.

week term starts on Wed 24th Feb! (£6 per session pay-as-you-go
or £5 65+ pay-as-you-go... No need to book - just turn up!)

none and has been an absolute pleasure to teach and be a part of and I can't
wait for more next term. This class is attracting men of ALL ages and from all walks of life, physical conditions,
sporting backgrounds, and abilities. No experience is
necessary and you could be benefiting from a massive range of benefits from a

Did
You know?

one in five hospital patients in this country suffers from diabetes
and 90% of those suffer from Type 2. What's more, it is estimated that by 2025
a quarter of the NHS budget will be spent treating diabetics. A staggering 90%
