Ernie is a regular at the classes and said: “I’m now more supple and I really enjoy the company.”

Helen from Ware said: “I think it’s a lot of fun as well as being different. It’s also good to find a class in the afternoons as most seem to be in the mornings or evenings which I can’t make.”

At the last class in Ware, attendees danced a variety of steps including the Cha-cha-cha, the Salsa and the Jitterbug to tunes from Lionel Ritchie, Michael Jackson, Wham and many more classics.

Linda Haysey, executive member for health, housing and community support said: “I’m thrilled that this class has proved so popular and is now able to run independently after receiving support from the council for the last 12 months. Fitsteps will be used as a model for other council projects supporting the start up of more fun activity classes elsewhere throughout the district.”

From Wednesday March 25 at 2pm the class will be at Hertford United Reform Church, Cowbridge Hall, Hertford, SG14 1PG and costs just £3. For more information you can email:This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
